Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 95 pts - Deep purple-black colored, the 2009 Ares Shiraz is intensely scented of warm black plums, black cherry compote, dried mulberries and blackberry tart with underlying notes of cedar, licorice, hung meat and fertile soil. Full bodied, densely packed and generously layered with ripe berry flavors, it has a good backbone of medium to firm velvety tannins and racy acid, finishing long. Drink it 2014 to 2024+. - Feb 2012
