The 2009 Borne Bollene Shiraz is aged in French burgundy barriques for 24 months and sourced from vines planted in 1976, located in Eden Valley. This particular vintage is drinking well now and will continue to do so until the early 2020's.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 93 pts - Aged for 24 months in 33% new French burgundy barriques (Dominique Laurent magic casks), the 2009 Borne Bollene Shiraz reveals a very deep purple black color and almost Cabernet-like notes of cassis, ripe black plums, cedar, dried Mediterranean herbs and pencil lead with underlying hints of anise and black olives. Full bodied and tightly-knit in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of rounded tannins, medium-high acid and a long blackberry finish with a pleasant herbal lift. Drink this one 2013 to 2021+. - Feb 2012
