Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 91 pts - The 2005 Yattarna Chardonnay was barrel-fermented, went through malolactic fermentation, and was aged on its lees for nine months in 55% new French oak before bottling without filtration. Rounder and richer than Reserve Bin 06A, It, too, will blossom with several more years of bottle age. Drink it through 2017. - Feb 2009

James Halliday's Wine Companion - 95 pts - Remarkably pale and bright colour; apple, nectarine and melon; new oak especially apparent after '04, but is balanced and will settle down as wine ages over next six months; very long finish. Date tasted 25 Sep 2007. Drink by 2015.

Wine Spectator - 91 pts - An acid tightness plays against the pear and quince flavors; feels lean and bracing. Does better with food, but as the fruit has faded a bit, the acid feels like squirting lemon onto the dish. Fruit from Adelaide Hills.—Non-blind Yattarna vertical (November 2011).
