Two Hands Max's Garden Shiraz 2003 750ml, Heathcote

Two Hands Max's Garden Shiraz 2003 750ml, Heathcote

Produced by Two Hands Wines, the 2003 Max's Garden Shiraz is sourced from Heathcote Victoria unlike the majority of its stable that are from South Australia. The 2003 vintage is still holding up nicely in 2014 and is a rare find indeed.

Expert Reviews

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 88 pts - The 2003 Shiraz Max's Garden is a cooler climate offering from the Cambrian soils of Heathcote. It possesses higher acidity than its siblings as well as a solid deep ruby/purple color, medium body, and more steely/mineral-like notes interwoven with black currant and blackberry fruit. A restrained, but well-made effort, it should drink well for a decade. - Oct 2005

James Halliday's Wine Companion - 91 pts - Luscious red and black plum fruit; medium to full-bodied; soft tannins, but doesn't carry the line quite as well as the others. Date tasted 20 Dec 2004. Drink by 2013
