Nashwauk Wrecked Shiraz 2006 750ml, McLaren Vale

Expert Reviews

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 90 to 93 pts - The 2006 Shiraz 'Wrecked,'? at triple the price, has no such problems. Aged for 18 months in new and one year French oak, it has a saturated purple color and offers a complex bouquet of toast, vanilla, white pepper, violets, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. Full-bodied and opulent, it has gobs of ripe black fruit flavors, well-concealed tannins, great balance, and a long, fruit-filled finish. It can be enjoyed now with a dry-aged prime rib eye and will drink well for another 20+ years. - Oct 2007

James Halliday's Wine Companion - 90 pts - Higher alcohol and pH than the varietal; powerful with dense black fruit and regional dark chocolate, but the higher alcohol tends to slightly thin out the fruit line. Date tasted 6 Dec 2007. Drink by 2016
