Greenock Creek Alice's Shiraz 2006 750ml, Barossa Valley

$60.00

Greenock Creek's 2006 Alices Shiraz is a bit of an enigma in a bottle, whilst this wine is starting to show its full potential there is definitely something about this vintage that suggests it hasn't quite spread it wings it soared to the heights it is capable of. Definitely a wine worth trying now and in years to come in order to share in its ultimate triumph. As we know Greenock Creek produce astonishing wines and hopefully the 2006 evolves into another example of winemaking masterclass.

Expert Reviews

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 91+ pts - The 2006 Shiraz Alices is more dense and saturated than the Seven Acre cuvee. It exhibits a brooding nose of smoke, lavender, damp earth, game, and blueberry. Firm and a bit closed down on the palate, this structured effort is still tightly wound and will require extended cellaring of 6-8 years. It seems to have all the right stuff to ultimately reveal its full potential but time will tell. - Dec 2009
