Greenock Creek Alice's Shiraz 2004 750ml, Barossa Valley

Greenock Creek Alice's Shiraz 2004 750ml, Barossa Valley

If three is the magic number, and the 2003 vintage was and still is sensational, than four is magic plus one. The 2004 Greenock Creek Alice's Shiraz is one for the record books displaying all that one could want from a classic Barossa Shiraz. A concentrated concoction of black fruits, toast, and earth seep from the glass with each and every sip leaving a feeling of total and utter fulfilment. Worthy of any cellar, if one can resist drinking every bottle, this near 100 point wine will live on well into the next decade.

Expert Reviews

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 98 pts - The 2004 Shiraz 'Alice's Block'? received the same 28 months in used American oak. The riveting nose of smoke, asphalt, earth, truffle, blackberry, and blueberry roars from the glass. Dense, packed, and opulent, it somehow is able to concurrently exhibit finesse and elegance. Amazingly pure and long in the finish, one's first reaction is that it cannot get any better. Remarkably, it does. - Oct 2007
