Craneford John Zilm Grenache 2004 750ml, Barossa Valley

Craneford John Zilm Grenache 2004 750ml, Barossa Valley

The exceptional fruit of this vintage is imbued with the age gathered characters of raspberry and maraschino cherry on a formidable dense palate hosting insistant whorls of blackberry, mullberry and forest fruits. It's black/violet cadences are testament to an enriched compelling body and a rich fragrant nose of ripe fruit and piquant berries.A vibrant, assured grenache to be indulged with a choice of peking duck, mature cheeses or steak. Wine Advocate 90/100 "The 2004 Grenache is a blend of primarily Grenache with small amounts of Mourvedre, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fashioned from 35 and 60-year-old Grenache vines, it boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as an explosive nose of kirsch liqueur, licorice, pepper, and spice box. This rich, opulent, hedonistic Grenache is a total turn-on."
